Simon Quinton Smith treks for 23 days in the Himalayas for Greenfingers Charity

25.10.2016

Simon Quinton Smith left the UK on Sunday 23rd October for Nepal to embark on the Kanchenjunga north base camp trek. Always up for a challenge, when asked by a friend to join him on this adventure, Simon said yes only to then find out he would be living under canvas for the duration!

He will have no home comforts and very little contact with the outside world! No wine with dinner, no comfortable mattress, only primitive facilities and a demanding trek so it's going to be a real personal challenge for him.

He will be in Nepal for four weeks which is a long time away from the business but Quinton Edwards will continue to run as normal with his dedicated and reliable staff covering for him.

Simons said “Yes it's going to be tough, but I am doing it to support a GREAT cause.  As a supporter of Greenfingers Charity, I have seen the difference the charity makes to the lives of children living with life limiting or life threatening conditions.  The charity creates magical, inspiring and therapeutic gardens for children and their families who spend time in hospices AND they have a waiting list of hospices who need their help now”.

By sponsoring Simon your donation will go towards Greenfingers "A Million Moments Appeal" which aims to raise £1m to enable the charity to build 15 more gardens right across the UK.
